Bears need a new QB (Vars agrees) and window has closed on Falcons..and need to draft a successor for Ryan to be ready in a couple years He's just not accurate or smart enough. This is what happens when you only have 13 college games of experience under your belt. You can't make a 2nd read. Bears fans are turning on him and Nagy. The latter deserves it as well. We ran the ball 7 times yesterday.

The Denver Broncos are trading wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to the San Francisco 49ers, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
San Francisco is sending third- and fourth-round 2020 draft picks to Denver, who is also including a 2020 fifth-round pick with Sanders in the deal, the sources said.

I like the Sanders move more than Sanu. Rumor is though the Pats have eyed Sanu over recent years though. He's a big target but he doesn't really stretch the field with speed and I like the young group they have so far. Wide receiver wasn't really an issue for them more than tight end is. Not sure how much Ben Watson has in the tank.

Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco will not start this week against the Cleveland Browns because of a neck injury, coach Vic Fangio announced Monday. Brandon Allen will get the start with Flacco sidelined. Fangio told reporters that it's uncertain whether Flacco's injury will require surgery.

Broncos just need to fire Elway. Since riding the coattails of aging Peyton Manning to a Super Bowl, it's been at QB:
Brock Ostweiler Trevor Siemian Paxton Lynch Case Keenum Joe Flacco
Is there any real reason to have faith Drew Lock is finally the answer?

Not sold on it. And I like Cam Newton. But I think he's always going to be a guy who plays 10-12 games a year with the amount of hits he has taken. Makes too much money for a player I have to replace 4-6 times a year. Plus I don't know if his over the top personality is going to fit with this team. Not sure I really want it be "Cam's team." Granted I don't want Mitch but at this point, I would rather just ride it out till the offseason and then look at a player like Bridgewater and maybe even Phillip Rivers if Mitch doesnt improve. If I can get Mariota for a late round pick, I'd even consider that.

The Atlanta Falcons have released veteran kicker Matt Bryant, the team announced Tuesday. Bryant, 44, missed field goals of 51 and 53 yards during the team's 27-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Bryant was 9-of-14 on field goal attempt this season. He's 13th on the NFL's all-time scoring list with 1,758 points.
Yea, old man can't kick like he used to..but 51 & 53 yards isn't a cupcake kick.

^^ and somebody's going to overpay alot for Bridgewater. Hope it's not your Bears. It probably won't be. Our front office is still committed to Mitch so it would shock me to see them spend a lot on a free agent QB. Unfortunately for Ryan Pace (our GM), he's pretty much attached at the hip with Mitch for moving up to get him and making him the franchise QB. Signing Bridgewater would be admitting a huge mistake which I don't think he's ready to do. But guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore, Andy Dalton, etc. maybe more realistic as backup/starter options. I expect Andy Dalton has played his last snap in Cincy and his contract is roster friendly for a release next year (no dead cap). Same with Phillip Rivers. Again, I like Mariota for this offense at the right price. On a 1 year deal next year, he would be the QB I target next offseason. And that's not to say I'm in love with Mariota but with a run-pass-option offense that Nagy likes to run, he would work. Just keep Jameis Winston away from me LOL.

eek..Mariota is way at the bottom of my list. Mitch just survives on short passes to his RB's and every ones in a while while they are behind he'll get garbage stats that looks like he played solid.

Mitch has no accuracy at all. If it wasn't for screens and small slants, his completion rate would be worse than it is. He's one of the worst QBs downfield in the NFL. I'm not saying Mariota is the answer. I do think if Mariota can get a 2nd chance somewhere, Chicago wouldn't be a bad place for him to start.

Looked at Dalton's stats..he's been sacked a ridiculous 29 times, Joe Mixon is running like Moe Jixon..and really has no WR's to throw to with AJ Green out..so perhaps it's the OL and coaches fault. Sucks for the red head.

Sucks for the red head. Its 100% the O Line. Lost our first round "franchise LT" rookie in camp, had our longest tenured lineman retire in camp, and we re-signed Bobby Hart and Andre Smith. Just asinine. But, it is what it is. Dalton has 0 guaranteed money left on his deal for this year and next, we're 0-8 and starting down the barrel of Tua or Burrows in April. Might as well see what Ryan Findley has, just in case you hit the 0.00000001% chance he's secretly Tom Brady. And if he isnt, then hopefully he goes 0-8 in his tenure.

So we are in a spot where we won't spend in FA (historically), we only draft and develop, but won't trade established players who are past their prime for more equity with which to draft and develop.... I honestly believe we have the worst ownership in the NFL. Maybe we can share that distinction with Washington.

I've never had a fav. football team like EE-Raiders, Vars- Bears, you-Bengals. You would think it's Panthers for me since I'm a couple miles from Charlotte..but I liked Cowboys with Romo..I like Brees/Rodgers..respect Brady's greatness. I usually just pull for whoever I have in fantasy.
and I'd let the Dolphins have Tua..better fit for that franchise..and I think he's RG3 2.0 with those gimpy ankles.

What's inexplicable with the Dolphins is their insistence on going with Fitzpatrick. If you're tanking, might as well own it and play your "young QB" who was the #10 overall pick just last year and you gave up a 2nd rd pick for and see what you have in him. It's an extreme longshot, and they probably know otherwise from practices, but just maybe Rosen might actually be good and the team can trade out of #1/#2 and get a haul from a QB-needy team. Again, longshot, but the team gains nothing from starting soon to be 37 year old Fitzmagic over 22 year old Rosen.
As for the Raiders, between Carr, Jacobs, Waller, Tyrell Williams and their investments in the OL, they are in good shape offensively going forward in terms of a core. Which is pretty remarkable given their idiot trades for Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant. With two 1st rd picks, they could nab a lineman and some help in the secondary to boost that miserable defense.

Yea..Mitch is trash..Tarheel nation doesn't claim him. He plays like a redshirt freshman. Admittedly, I wasn't as hard on Cutler as my Bears nation was. I took him for what he was. He'll give you a chance. He'll take away a chance or 2. This dude (Mitch) gives us NO SHOT! I don't think I've seen a QB look as lost as him. At least with Jay you had to respect his ability to throw the ball. It may be to a cornerback but he can throw it 30 yards with velocity. I have no faith in Mitch's arm throwing to anyone, anywhere, any down. And I don't know why we don't run the ball. Cohen looks lost but Montgomery has been our bright spot at times on offense. He's the guy they got rid of Jordan Howard for and Jordan Howard destroys us this game smh. As bad as we looked in the 1st half, the fact we still had a chance to win tells me how good we can be if we could move the ball and not have our defense play 20+ mins a half. Season is over. 3-5 in a division where the Packers are cruising, Vikings almost squeaked out a win today and the crappy Lions are ahead of us. I think we could salvage an 8-8 season but 7-9 looks more realistic. It's gonna be on the front office to see who we can get to take over this offense.

Well if you go to Daniels, Mitch is done, can't go back to him to start next year. 5 games without a TD, and the 2 Td's he had against the Saints was a blow out and late 4th quarter garbage stats. Glad it's not my team lol..although I do like Cohen

The whole Mitch thing just has me shaking my head. Especially from over here in Ohio; could we have squeezed a 3rd + something out of Chicago for Dalton? At least Chicago would have a puncher's chance with a steady guy like Andy.
Oh well, sole possession of #1 right now...thanks Miami!

Never thought I'd say this but boy am I happy the Raiders have Derek Carr.
For the season he has a career high QBR of 105.2 and is on pace for 3,968 passing yards 26 TDs 8 INTs - which is pretty close to his 2016 performance, when the Raiders went 12-4 and made the playoffs. Only time they've done that since 2002.
He's been very durable. He's only 28. He's avoided any type of controversy, on or off the field. The guy isn't Aaron Rodgers or even Matthew Stafford but looking at the QB landscape across the league, he is far and away the type of QB you're very content leading your team. He's kind of sandwiched in between an Andy Dalton / Phillip Rivers type.

Kinda like what Oak said, if you make a move for Dalton, you are pretty much admitting it's over for Mitch in Chicago. And I don't think our GM is willing to do that yet given what he traded to get him. Mitch has a shoulder injury so it wouldn't shock me if they play up the narrative he's hurt and may even look to bench him using that excuse versus him just not getting it done.
