Sources: #AZCardinals plan to try and trade All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. DHop has 2 yrs and $34.36M left on his contract and is likely to seek a new deal. Owner Michael Bidwill plans to express this to GM candidates.

"Likely to seek a new deal"
Hopkins is obviously a stud. He also missed several games in 2021 to injury, got stupidly suspended for 6 games in 2022 and got hurt again. At age 31 before next season, don't know how many teams are going to line up to pay the cost to both acquire him and then lavish him with a new contract. This isn't Davante Adams or AJ Brown or Tyreek Hill we're talking about here.
Having said that, he'd be awesome on say the Ravens or Cowboys or Colts or Patriots or Giants or Titans. I want so badly to say the Bears but best not to tread down that path.

It smells like Cowboys written all over it. Unless the Cowboys are still after OBJ.
TBH as good as Hopkins is, I don't know if part more than a 2nd rounder for him. The injuries, suspension and just him getting older doesn't make him nearly as attractive as AJ Brown or Tyreek Hill was.
For the Bears, I'd probably do it for the Bears 2nd rounder (via Ravens) but that "seek a new deal" part makes me iffy on it. I also fully expect the Bears to use their earlier picks to knock out some positions.

Some recent WR trades
If Diggs + 7th nets you a 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th
If Tyreek nets you a 1st, 2nd, 4th, 4th, 6th If Davante nets you a 1st, 2nd If Julio + 6th nets you a 2nd and 4th
If AJ Brown + 3rd nets you a 1st
If Hollywood Brown + 3rd nets you a 1st If Cooks + 4th nets you a 2nd
If Claypool nets you a 2nd
If Calvin Ridley nets you a 5th + potential 2nd to 4th depending....
If Amari Cooper nets you a 5th + 6th rd pick swap
I'm looking at this trying to think what Hopkins might get and I just keep staring at the Claypool trade. What was Chicago thinking? Also the Julio trade was obviously an epic fail for Tennessee. For the most part though, the team acquiring the WR is happy.
Anyhow, Houston essentially traded Hopkins + 4th for David Johnson, 2nd, 4th. Wouldn't shock me if the iteration now is, as Vars said, Hopkins for a 2nd.

Whatever Arizona gets, they definitely need WR help.
They sure as heck cannot go into next season with Hollywood, Robbie Anderson, Rondale Moore as their primary WRs.
They can re-sign Dortch but really he's just insurance behind Hollywood/Rondale. All of them are also wildly undersized. Dortch and Moore are 5'7", Hollywood is 5'9". Anderson, while tall, is rail thin. What they need is a big body with sure hands. Kind of like DeAndre Hopkins.

- Chargers were embarrassing. I'm shocked they didn't fire Brandon Staley but apparently they fired his coaches to give him another chance.
- Bills looked vulnerable to me. Way too dependent on Allen and the passing game.
- Vikings were the Vikings again. Have to wonder what else is left for this team to do to get over the hump.
- 49ers looked like the best team this weekend. If Purdy keeps this up, makes an interesting offseason with Lance waiting.
- I'm beginning to get less and less confident on Lamar and the Ravens coming to agreement. Hopefully this loss and someone blinks.
