I tried to watch the tournament but I couldn't. I did manage to watch Game 7: Morons vs Lakers Saturday. Kobe vs Garnett since they both got inducted. But besides that, I almost never watch ESPN anymore.
Im just binge watching shows. Midway thru Hunters on Amazon Prime. May start up Ozark next.

I saw the end of C's-Lakers..sad part was Stuart Scott next to David Stern interviewing Kobe while he was behind GiGi...all passed.

Crazy is Rajon Rondo was in that game and looks/plays exactly the same 10 years later.
Also completely forgot Sheed - and more so Michael Finley - was on that squad. And hurt my eyes to see that much Big Baby out there.

That was probably my favorite Lakers team in 2010. Other than going from Ariza to Artest from 2009 to 2010 it was basically the same team. Bench mob was always fun to watch. Then blame everything on Farmar, Fisher, Luke etc when they played bad

If the playoffs went with just the games played: Eastern Conference
No. 1 Milwaukee Bucks vs. No. 8 Orlando Magic No. 4 Miami Heat vs. No. 5 Indiana Pacers No. 2 Toronto Raptors vs. No. 7 Brooklyn Nets No. 3 Boston Morons vs. No. 6 Philadelphia 76ers Bucks would crush the Magic, the Raptors should beat the depleted Nets and Miami should edge the Pacers due to home-court advantage. The wild card is that 3-6 matchup but I think Morons win out. Hard to trust that Sixers squad.
Bucks vs Heat would be really fun to watch and I'd like to see if Iggy can even remotely guard Greek Freak. I can each game being close but Bucks advance.
I'd actually go Morons over Raptors because I think the edge in talent wins out and there is no Kawhi on Toronto to make up for it.
Milwaukee vs Boston......
Western Conference
No. 1 Los Angeles Lakers vs. No. 8 Memphis Grizzlies No. 4 Utah Jazz vs. No. 5 Oklahoma City Thunder No. 2 Los Angeles Clippers vs. No. 7 Dallas Mavericks No. 3 Denver Nuggets vs. No. 6 Houston Rockets Lakers should smoke the Grizzlies and a healthy Clippers team should cruise over a talented but not yet ready Mavs team. OKC vs UTAH and DEN vs HOU will be amazing to watch and I can see both go 6 or 7.
Honestly I could see upsets on both sides but more so OKC thanks to a healthy Paul. I think Houston and their small ball approach will get crushed by Jokic. Then of course both LA teams win set up:
Lakers vs Clippers
And all leads to the most obvious prediction of Lakers vs Bucks
The Bucks and their #1 scoring offense, #5 ranked defense, #5 in threes made, #1 in rebounds grabbed and home court advantage The Lakers and their #7 scoring offense, #3 ranked defense, #5 in threes allowed, #3 in rebounds allowed and top duo in the league in Lebron/AD
I honestly really hope the NBA does come back because I really really really want to see Lakers vs Clippers and then Lakers vs Bucks (or Boston if they get that far)

My favorite Lakers teams obviously had Eddie Jones on it but might honestly be 1997-1998
SL: Van Exel, EJ, Fox, Horry, Shaq 2nd unit: Fisher, Kobe, Blount, Elden Rest: Jon Barry, Mario Bennett, Sean Rooks
Went 61-21, made the Western Conference Finals and lost to the 62-20 Jazz.
The next season, with the lockout, they traded Eddie/Elden in the Rice trade, they signed Rodman, the coaching situation was in disarray and got swept in the 2nd round.
After that they won like 3 titles or something and that was cool.

If I had to pick though, I'd probably go with Chris Paul. He seems the most crafty out of the bunch.

"Jazz teammates Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell's partnership reportedly 'doesn't appear salvageable'"
Something? Nothing?
Personally I think it is fake news.
From what I've read though who think there is something to this, many *believe* that this isn't so much a case of Mitchell being pissed off that in his head Gobert made light of a serious situation and then proceeded to give him this deadly disease and that is unforgivable and more so a case of Mitchell wanting out of Utah and using this as an excuse.
I don't know if I put any stock into that at all given Utah is a strong team, the ownership is willing to spend (see: Bojan, Ingles, O'Neale, Conley), they have a great coach/front office tandem and he seems fully entrenched in that community. So unless Mitchell wanted to chase the bright lights of a big city, don't see why he would want to leave. That said, if he did and he very well could for all I know, then he needs to man up and just demand a trade and not hide behind an excuse that just further vilifies Gobert. Otherwise this situation actually makes Gobert more expendable given his age and contract situation (both hit FA in 2021 but Mitchell is restricted). I can't imagine any situation where the Jazz trade Mitchell over Gobert on the basis of an unsalvageable relationship, esp. with how the fanbase would react.

Just no.
Plus a HORSE competition without Steph lacks any credibility anyhow.

Few things from this weekend HORSE competition was so so bad..it was cringe worthy..and I just couldn't watch it, was shocked they actually put that bad of footage on tv. I watched the 2017 ESPN special on Ryan Leaf special..that was good, he had a game where he went 1 for 15, 4 yards, 2 int, and 3 fumbles...damn and on NBATV..the 2010 Mavs team was stacked, watched the 4th quarter of the Brandon Roy comeback in the playoffs. www.basketball-reference.com/teams/DAL/2011.html

Not to mention it's really hard to tell who contracted it first and gave it to who. If there is any meat to this story, my guess is it's other things brewing between the two. I can't see how this situation, that has impacted the world, is the driving force for a split between the franchise's 2 best players. And if I'm Utah, I just tell both to suck it up and try to work it out. Again, you may dislike Gobert for being playful regarding it but it's no way of knowing if he was the one who spread it.

I turned it on. Saw 2 minutes of Billups and Trae. My wife said "Please turn this grainy Blair Witch Project crap off"
I said "Yes Dear" and we proceeded to watch IT Chapter 2 instead.
So I went from watching some unnecessary, terrible and nauseating to something unnecessary, terrible and nauseating.

I agree. There is no way of knowing if Gobert spread it but his actions at the press conference and his being tested positive first have made him the Poster Child for the disease. Right or wrong.
I read Gobert's comments about his relationship with Mitchell yesterday in response to all this and the way it came off, there is DEFINITELY something between the two that they would need to set aside to just play basketball.
I forget where I read it but someone suggested this offseason a trade of Draymond + Warriors 2020 1st rd pick unprotected to the Jazz for Gobert
The idea of Gobert and what he brings to the table joining up with Steph, Klay is ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Add in Wiggins and they can easily get by with a PF tandem of Paschall, Chriss and a veteran signing. Scary if healthy lineup. As for the Jazz, makes the most sense if that pick lands them Wiseman to replace Gobert. But I can't for the life of me see Dray in a Jazz uniform or the Jazz wanting that 4 year 100M contract on the books, even if it lands Wiseman.

I think the Bulls are just waiting to see if the season resumes but the expectation here is Boylan won't be back next year. John Paxson moves into a senior adviser role too.

Forman was hired in 2009
His draft history is kind of interesting
Draft 2009 - #16 James Johnson and #26 Taj Gibson 2010 - Traded away #17 (Kevin Seraphin) to salary dump Kirk Hinrich
2011 - #30 Jimmy Butler 2011 - Traded #28 (Norris Cole) and #43 (Malcolm Lee) for #23 Mirotic 2012 - #29 Marquis Teague 2013 - #20 Tony Snell
2014 - Traded #14 (Jusuf Nurkic), #19 (Gary Harris), 2nd rd pick to Denver for #11 Doug McDermott
2015 - #22 Bobby Portis 2016 - #14 Denzel Valentine 2017 - #7 Lauri Markkanen (via Jimmy Butler trade)
2018 - #7 Wendell Carter Jr and #22 Chandler Hutchinson (via Mirotic trade)
2019 - #7 Coby White
Some pretty good hits in there

Denver also used that future 2015 pick from the Bulls in the McBuckets trade as part of the 2015 midseason trade where they sent Mozgov to the Cavs for a 2016 1st and 2017 1st.
2017 midseason Denver would then send that 2017 1st + Nurkic to Portland for Miles Plumlee and a 2018 2nd rd pick.
2018 midseason Denver would send that 2nd rd pick from Portland where they got Devin Harris from DAL and a 2018 2nd rd pick from NY in a 3 team trade. A trade that happened to see McBuckets go from NY to DAL.
Crazy how things go round and round.

If it was the NBA Hall of Fame, then no. Since they consider things international play, then yes,
Guys like Petrovic, Marciulonis, Sabonis, Dino Radja played in the NBA but didn't have NBA HOF careers by any stretch and made the HOF bolstered by stellar Euro resumes ( like Vlade). And there are a handful who only had international accolades.
Tony Parker is a likely HOFer on his NBA career alone - not 1st ballot but eventual. Manu isn't an NBA HOFer by any stretch though.
In the end, both make it when their international resumes are factored in.
It may just take longer for Marc. Mind you Vlade made it 14 years after retirement.

Forman will likely land with someone else in their scouting department. It's easily his best skill and quality. And in fairness to him on some of those picks, Paxson and others in the organization overruled him. The Bulls biggest issues wasn't necessarily getting talent; just keeping it. Cheap and a lot of those moves ended up being salary dumps.

Also on McBuckets, he was having a career year with Indiana this season
10.4ppg 2.5rpg 1.1apg 1.9 3pg 49.1fg% 44.5 3fg% in 20mpg.
IF the NBA does come back, the Pacers may arguably be the biggest beneficiary of the breakgiven Oladipo was still working his way back and Brogdon was week to week with an injury to his hip as of early March. Dependent on if/when the season restarts, that Pacers team with Brogdon, Dipo, Warren, Sabonis, Turner, McConnell, A. Holiday, J. Holiday, McBuckets is a real threat in the East.

N.C. update..we are all the way up to 5100 cases and 115 deaths. It's slowly been increasing, then made a quick jump. About 10 miles from where I live theres a nursing home..and sadly 47 cases came out of the one home. All it takes is 1 and in that close confined place it just spread.
Grocery stores and essential stores rules took big change starting today with limiting people per 1,000 square feet to enter.
Business here is slow..so many places closed, just sucks, weather is getting nicer, and people are wanting it to open back up
