May as well just release Wilson Chandler and use that roster spot on Melo.
Heck, in actuality they can even start Melo at PF IF they wanted to - which right now is a competition between Taurean Prince and Rodion Kurucs, both capable players but really more SFs. Melo at this stage of his career is a PF.
SL: Kyrie, Levert, Harris, Melo, DJ 2nd unit: Dinwiddie, Temple, Prince, Kurucs, Allen
Hypothetically speaking. Not endorsing on any level the idea of starting Melo.

“Joe Johnson would not be [receiving interest from NBA teams] if he didn’t play in the BIG3. I want Carmelo Anthony to realize that hanging out with his trainer and playing in these bogus pick-up games is not better than playing in the BIG3. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “If Carmelo was killing the BIG3 it can help him, (but) I think these guys believe it can only hurt them. I think agents think it can only hurt them. But I’m telling you if you’re dominating, the BIG3 you’ll get back in the league.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - Brian Scalabrine
Melo ain't about to be about that Big3 life

I wouldn't be about that life either. It's kinda a knee jerk reaction to say "hey, it worked for Joe Johnson" when it didn't work for 99% of the other players in the Big3 lol. I'd go to China first before I'd play against a 280 pound Donte Green every weekend.

Rockets re-sign Nene.
They now have Nene and Tyson Chandler behind Capela at C. It's an aging tandem but at least they can rotate them and not have to rely on either, esp. since Capela is young, fresh and more than capable of big minutes.
PG: Westbrook, Rivers SG: Gordon, Green, Frazier SF: Harden, House PF: Tucker, G. Clark, Hartenstein C: Capela, Chandler, Nene
Not the greatest of depth. FWIW the team does have Anthony Bennett and Ben McLemore fighting for roster spots. I don't have any faith in the former #1 overall pick but McLemore seems like he'd be a fit for the Rockets.

Crazy to think in 2016-2017 the guy was All-NBA 2nd team. Now he's on his 4th team since 2017.

So Jackson went from #4 pick in 2017 to All-Rookie 2nd team selection in 2018 to salary dumped in July 2019 to not even being good enough to make the roster of the Grizzlies in September 2019 (despite being only 22 and theoretically being a logical fit for a "rebuilding team").
He has serious character issues. Tack on the holes in his game and you could see why this is happening.

Both Porzingis & Embiid will miss 15-20 games due to Load Management.
If players are only going to play 60-65 games, then that's all the salary as an owner I'd pay.

Porzingis tore his ACL in February. Of 2018. Look, I get wanting to be careful but it's frankly absurd to treat a guy who is 20 months removed from his injury with such kid gloves. After giving him the MAX. And yet people are talking about Klay, who tore his ACL in June potentially coming back in March, and not even batting an eye.

..and Kings offer Hield 4 year 90..he wants $110...eeek meanwhile offer Bogdanovic 4 year 51..I'd pass and move onto another team and bigger role Siakam will get max

Yeah, hard pass on Hield for 4/$110. He's a fantastic 3 point shooter, but it's a near certainty last year was a career year in that regard. He doesn't get to the line enough and it would be generous to say he plays "passable defense".
Maybe if they hadn't given the huge contract to Barnes I could stomach Hield at near what he wants, but it would almost leave Sac capped out up until it's time to pay Fox and Bagley.

Interesting. Obviously the two years puts him the year after that mammoth FA class in 2021, where he might end up being the belle of the ball in 2022.
But if I had to put money on it, I think this makes him more likely to be traded by February. Similar to the Lowry extension, now he becomes more valuable with the added commitment rather than being a FA-in-waiting. I would circle Boston and Denver as my two most likely targets to make a strong push for him.
EDIT: Should read before I spout off, looks like it's set up so that he cannot be traded during the season, similar to an RFA signing an offer sheet. Maybe in the offseason his market heats up.

Gotta love how 4 years 90M is an insult to a guy who has 1 good year in the NBA. Not even an All-Star season, just a good productive one on a mediocre squad. The team shouldn't be in a rush to pay him now. He's still under contract for one more year and then is restricted as a free agent. Hield is the one trying to push this so he can just guarantee his payday but that doesn't benefit the Kings - unless they were able to get him to a deal they were comfortable with to avoid having to pay him more next summer if he has another good season, which obviously 4 years 90M was their figure.
If Hield is going to force a trade because the Kings don't want to overpay him, then the Kings should accommodate. The team actually has another quality SG in Bogdanovic on the roster and they don't need the locker room distraction of a disgruntled Hield.

Atlanta. Traded for Bazemore. I did that without looking. But really that was more so because I know where Bazemore is than Turner.
