I guess everybody is all jokes and thinks it's funny with the social media comments. They think so until they catch it or something they know does. This won't be the last team, bigger things then sports right now, just have to deal with it until it hopefully passes soon.

I'm more pissed off at the reaction of this government than anything.
People are going to be stupid no matter what the case but when the government is stupid, it leads to very serious consequences.
As for NBA games, look, we just need to do what we can to prevent the spread. If it means we just need to shut down as a society for 2 or 3 weeks. So be it.

With big events being cancelled, schools going online, stadiums being empty for games, the plunge in the stock market, the hit to local businesses, the panic over basic goods like toilet paper and water due to a contagious disease.....
It's like the beginning of an apocalyptic movie

It's like the beginning of an apocalyptic movie Right? And yet.... it's all this panic, people have died, but it isn't like "Contagion" or "Outbreak". It isn't like, you get this and you die in 20 minutes. Things are pretty wild. The mayor here in Cincinnati just declared a state of emergency despite the fact that we haven't had any cases yet.

I'm watching videos of it. They were minutes before tip off, went back to locker rooms, then sent everybody home.

And there's Patient Zero. What a motherfucking dumbass with that microphone stunt. This could be a wrap for the season in all honesty.

Test EVERY player/coach/staff member/arena employee etc. and if it's just Rudy infected, then quarantine him and continue on with the season as if he had like a sprained ankle or something. Sucks for the Jazz but it's an isolated incident that shouldn't illicit a full blown elongated season suspension.
If there are other players infected, well, not good obviously.....

Raptors have quarantined players for two weeks and Mark Cuban floated a 60-day shutdown. Fluid situation, obviously, but minimum timelines are starting to emerge. - Via Chris Mannix
So at minimum, it looks like the NBA will be suspended for 2 weeks.

Jazz star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for the coronavirus, league sources tell ESPN. Jazz players privately say that Rudy Gobert had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings. Now a Jazz teammate has tested positive.

Karma for not taking this seriously.

You deserve all the backlash you are getting online (Well not every bit because some internet trolls are little extreme)

I realize that all of this is necessary for the greater good but naturally I can't help but think about myself for at least some of the time and rue the current existence where the NBA, March Madness, Spartan races and Nerd Conventions are being cancelled/postponed.

and TV shows are having finales..so no games or much on tv..weather is getting nicer here for spring. Guess I'll spend more time outside.
Hate it for the college kids.
Here in North Carolina we are up to 15 with the virus, and toilet paper of all things is out of stock everywhere, panic mode.
