I doubt he settles for the MLE but the Lakers could entertain a sign and trade:
Kuz + Green for Gallinari......
Which for OKC is really just about getting something rather than losing Gallo for nothing. Namely Kuz to add to their core of SGA, Dort, Bazley, Ferguson, perhaps Schroder, some unproven randoms etc. They'd realistically try to turn around and send Green in a separate deal.
Between Paul, Adams, Green, perhaps Schroder and their hoard of draft picks, they'd certainly have a lot of moving pieces whether to make moves (big or small) or just sit on the boon of 2021 cap space with nearly 60M coming off with Adams/Green/Schroder.
Of course this is contingent on AD moving to the 5 full-time. Gallinari is not a SF and would not want to be a reserve like Kuz - nor should he be at his skill and potential contract.

With Galli's slow foot work and stiffness on defense, he would be a liability at the 3 no doubt.
Really surprised they just dropped Javale all together at the bubble. I still think him or Howard or both will be back. I'd have to look through the wing options to see who's available.

IF the Lakers do trade Kuz, I can see them using the MLE to bring back Markieff Morris. He was a fairly integral rotation player in the postseason and would have an expanded role if Kuz were no longer on the team. I see the team certainly bringing back KCP, whether he picks up his player option or the team uses their bird rights on him. I see Bradley picking up his player option because I can see his decision to not join the Lakers in the bubble hurting his value - plus I can see him feeling a need to redeem himself and "earn" a ring. The other question marks are what McGee/Rondo do with their player options, does Howard come back on the cheap again, what about Waiters/JR Smith/Greek Freak's lil bro? McGee could seek more minutes elsewhere but I think Howard stays personally. He seems at this stage to enjoy the camaraderie/winning over $/playing time. Rondo, dependent on how the backcourt shakes out could do the same. If the Lakers keep Bradley, KCP, Green along with Cook and Caruso, there is a bit of a glut there. I think JR Smith comes back IF Lebron wants him back and he accepts a minimal role. I don't think Waiters does. Just to toss a hypothetical. IF the Lakers trade Green/Kuz to PHX, who is hungry to make the playoffs and could see Green as a stabilizing locker room presence and Kuz as an answer at PF with Saric a FA, for say Oubre ( 18.7ppg 6.4rpg - scorer off the bench)/Kaminsky ( 9.7ppg 4.5rpg 33.1 3fg% - bring some range to the C position) - who both have expiring deals for 2021 maintaining potential cap space...... Then Rondo seeing Green out the door, stays on for his player option..... Re-sign KCP for a bloated 1 year deal to give him a raise and keep 2021 cap space..... Then JR Smith stays and the team promotes Kostas to the main roster as a selling point for Giannis...... Then use #28 on a big man who may be raw but has big upside like a Daniel Oturu to stash onto the G-League. Along with Cacok who looked good in the G-League (19.4ppg 11.9rpg 65.9fg%)..... Then, last but not least, assuming his feelings aren't butt hurt from being cut, bring back Boogie for ONE more try at it. PG: Bradley, Rondo, Cook SG: KCP, Caruso, Smith SF: Lebron, Oubre, Horton-Tucker PF: AD, Morris, K. Antetokounmpo C: Howard, Cousins, Kaminsky
G-League: Oturu, Cacok
That team repeats.

Boogie! damn totally forgot about him. Sign em to another 1 year deal to prove himself and hope he doesn't blow another lower body part.
I liked Morris for what he brought...but was "ehhh" on him being the closer 5th guy in the 4th

Morris being in there was for naturally his defense, 3pt shooting and veteran experience BUT also a lack of trust in Kuz and the lack of need for Javale/Howard. I also think if Bradley was around, we might have seen more 3 guard sets with Lebron at PF/AD at C.
