Not sure how credible it is but rumor is the Pats/Lions are close to a deal where Pats move up to #3. Pats have a lot of picks but going from #23 to #3 will be super expensive.
Also word is Giants are open to trading down from #4. Given they want OL and probably don't see much separation between the top 3 or 4 prospects, makes sense they trade down for assets but still within range to get one of them. I know people are ready for the Pats to fall back to mediocrity after the last 20 years, but personally I would be uncontrollable in my joy if they jumped Miami and took Tua. With how trash Miami fans have been to us Bengals fans online with the idea that we should just give them #1 for, like #5 and #26 because we dont deserve Burrow like they do.....fuck em.

IF the Pats did try to move up to #3, it may take two trades as I don't see Detroit willing to slide all the way down to #23.
CBS had the idea of the Pats sending #23 and talented Offensive Guard Joe Thuney to Browns for #10. The Browns get OL help they badly need with Thuney and at #23 can further stack the OL with OT Josh Jones/Austin Jackson. OR the recent buzz is Ezra Cleveland. Ian Rapaport is even saying the Browns could trade down from #10 to target Ezra. Making this New England scenario that much more viable. Plus Ezra Cleveland on the Cleveland Browns feels like a good marketing play. Assuming anyone cares about offensive lineman. Most don't. Unless you have a movie worth backstory like Michael Oher.
CBS then said Pats can trade #10, #87 and 2021 1st to Lions at #3 or Giants at #4 for Tua. It'll probably may take a little more than that if you ask me - Pats could throw in #98 or #100 or a 2021 2nd or 3rd rd pick - but I can see both teams listening to this type of move. Lions more than likely loses out on Okudah but they stay within range for CJ Henderson, who some scouts view as being better than Okudah. Giants can still land an impact player at 10. It's not Simmons/Wirfs but could be Derrick Brown/Becton/Andrew Thomas. Then obviously is the added draft capital, namely that 2021 1st.
IF the Pats did trade say Thuney, #23, #87, #98 and a 2021 1st to maneuver to get Tua, it's costly but obviously they are going all-in to get their man. Then they'd still have #100, #125, #195, #204, #212, #213, #230, #235, #241 to stock their depth.
The Pats give up their top 5 picks this draft and top 2 picks next draft for Tua but obviously if they do this, they are going all-in Look for the next Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Matthew Slater, Aaron Hernandez, Marcus Cannon, Nate Ebner, James White, Shaq Mason, Trey Flowers, Deatrich Wise, Ted Karras, Joe Cardona, Cameron Fleming, Stephen Gostkowski, James Sanders, Asante Samuel, Dan Koppen and Jarret Stidham - all pick #100 and on. They seem especially adept at finding offensive lineman late.

As for the age old question about the Raiders at #12, I'm going to simplify it:
Draft Lamb or Jeudy. Finally decided that although there is a ton of WR depth, the Raiders need a true game-changer and you get that with Lamb/Jeudy and not so much once you move down the list.....
UNLESS a top prospect falls to them.
The one I could see slipping:
DT Derrick Brown
Sporting News has Brown #4 on their big board
CBS has him #5
Draftwire and SI has Brown #6
Let's say the draft starts - and all these picks are very possible based on rumblings:
#1 CIN - Burrows
#2 WAS - Young #3 DET - Okudah #4 NYG - Wirfs
#5 MIA - Herbert/Tua #6 LAC - Herbert/Tua #7 CAR - Simmons #8 AZ - Wills/Becton
#9 JAX - Henderson/Becton/Kinlaw #10 CLE - Thomas/Becton
#11 NYJ - Ruggs/Becton/Henderson
It's highly highly likely Brown is off the board by #12 BUT he could slide and slides do happen.
This could leave the Raiders with a VERY interesting choice of: Lamb, Jeudy.... or Derrick Brown Do they go with the game changing WR or a freakish interior pass rusher to improve your porous defense from last year?
You go best talent available. Draft Brown. Figure WR out later
I actually might not even object to even going CB at #19 with Fulton, Diggs, Terrell, Gladney because I'm not that high on Justin Jefferson. Then using their later picks to move up to target whoever is there between Mims, Reagor, Aiyuk, Claypool, Hamler and Michael Pittman Jr.
If the Raiders come away with DT Derrick Brown, CB Fulton, WR Michael Pittman Jr., QB Jalen Hurts with their top 4 picks..... very nice.

I like Pittman too, if he were available at 33. He reminds me so much of a WR I wanted the Bengals to draft in the 2nd a few years ago, local guy from OSU named Michael Thomas...
Then you see the stat that Pittman only dropped 5 balls his entire career at USC....the comp keeps getting stronger.

I don't know why I posted my mock in the other thread. Defeating the purpose of this thread haha
Boredom Mock #1 of the day. I went trade happy.
1. Cincinnati - QB Joe Burrow. 2. Washington - DEF Chase Young 3. Miami (via Lions) - QB Tua Tagovailoa -> Miami trades #5 and #39 for #3 and get their QB of the future. 4. Jacksonville (via Giants) - QB Justin Herbert -> Jacksonville trades #9, #36 and 2021 2nd round pick for #4. Sorry Minshew Mania. 5. Detroit (via Dolphins) – DEF Derrick Brown. Yup, not Okudah or Simmons. They opt for an inside disruptor. 6. L.A. Chargers - DEF Isaiah Simmons -> Both Tua/Herbert gone, so they go defense 7. Miami (via Panthers) - OL Tristan Wirfs -> Miami trades #18 and #26 for #7. The word is they want to solidify QB/OL – even trying to get #3 without giving up #5. Their aggressiveness still nets them their top choices at both. 8. Atlanta (via Cardinals) – CB Jeff Okudah -> Atlanta trades #16, #47 and 2021 2nd rd pick. The Falcons were reported to want to move up and the Cardinals were reported to want to move down. With CB Jeff Okudah sliding, the Falcons get aggressive and shoot their shot. 9. NY Giants (via Jaguars) - OL Jedrick Wills -> They still get a stud OL prospect worthy at #4 and pick up two 2nd round picks. Finally Gettleman is doing it right. 10. Philadelphia - (via Browns) - WR Ceedee Lamb -> Philadelphia trades #21, #53 and 2021 3rd round pick for #10 to net the top WR of their choice and fill a major hole. This is a Wentz-type push. 11. NY Jets - OL Mekhi Becton -> WR is a need but Lamb is gone, so they go with their big board and Becton to protect Darnold. 12. Denver (via Raiders) - WR Henry Ruggs -> Denver trades #15 and #46 for #12 and #81 to leapfrog the Niners for the guy they covet in Ruggs 13. San Francisco - DEF Javon Kinlaw. With Lamb/Ruggs off the board, they miss out on the top-burners so they go best defender off the board. 14. Tampa Bay - OT Andrew Thomas. Dream pick for them as an NFL ready lineman. 15. Las Vegas (via Broncos) - WR Jerry Jeudy. Raiders trade down, still net an elite WR and they move into the 2nd rd, which they didn't have. 16. Arizona (via Lions) - CB CJ Henderson -> They slide back from #8 and still land a player arguably worth a top 10 pick and who some think is better than Okudah. 17. Dallas - S Xavier McKinney 18. Carolina (via Dolphins) - DEF K'Lavon Chaisson 19. Oakland – QB Jordan Love -> Screw it. This just feels like it’ll happen, huh? 20. Jacksonville - CB Jaylon Johnson 21. Green Bay (via Browns) - WR Justin Jefferson -> Green Bay trades #30 and #93 to leapfrog other WR-needy teams and get the best of the 2nd tier WRs 22. Minnesota - OL Austin Jackson - With the best WRs off the board, they opt to address their OL to help Cousins/Cook 23. Cleveland (Via Patriots) - DEF Kenneth Murray -> Cleveland trades #41 and #53. Browns through two trade downs from #10 have a plethora of picks. They use their volume to move up for an impact defensive player. Pats have little cap space, a lot of holes and no 2nd rd pick. Now they have two - one to potentially target QB Jacob Eason and either TE Kmet or WR or OL 24. New Orleans – WR Jalen Reagor. This is the rumor anyways. Personally I like Mims more if they went WR. 25. Minnesota - S Antoine Winfield. Feels like a prime trade down spot but Winfield also fills a legitimate need. 26. Carolina (via Dolphins) – CB Kristian Fulton. They could have gone Okudah at #7 but landing Chaisson + Fulton is a terrific outcome for a team with major defensive needs. 27. Indianapolis (via trade with Seahawks) – OL Josh Jones -> Indianapolis trades #34, #75 to move up for OL help. They had Jones way higher on their board than 27. 28. Baltimore - DEF Yetir Gross-Matos 29. Tennessee – CB AJ Terrell 30. Cleveland (via Packers) - OL Ezra Cleveland. Cleveland trades down, twice, and gets the guy they are said to want at better value 31. NY Jets (via Niners) – WR Brandon Aiyuk -> Jets trade #48 and #79. Niners want to trade down and Jets don’t want to wait until #48 to address WR when it’s a clear need and teams ahead of that pick also have WR needs. 32. Dallas (via Chiefs) – DEF Patrick Queen -> Dallas trades #51, #82 and 2021 2nd rd pick. The Chiefs could have gone RB Swift/Taylor or CB Gladney/Diggs but instead they trade down to a Dallas team that saw Queen sliding and pounced on the chance to get him to get a defensive playmaker. The Chiefs with #51, #63, #82, #96 in the top 100 can still address needs, such as a RB with perhaps JK Dobbins, Edwards-Helaire, Moss or Akers.

Via Mike Florio: "Dolphins want to get No. 3 and No. 5 in effort to get to No. 1"
Let's say the Dolphins traded #18, #26 and the Texans' 2021 1st rd pick for #3 - and it'd realistically take that much to get the Lions to slide down that far. Then the Dolphins offered #3, #5 and their own 2021 1st rd pick to the Bengals for #1.
I mean I still expect the Bengals to say no but.... well... dang that's an offer.
They can go Tua and then their choice of an elite OL prospect or defense with Simmons, Brown, Okudah.
AND have a 2021 1st rd pick to boot
Even then, yeah, just don't see Bengals moving off Burrow.
If anything, Dolphins should just go ahead and trade up to #3 and do what I literally just said about having Tua and their choice of an OL prospect. Which is pretty much what I had them doing anyways.

Yeah, I just don't see how the Bengals could walk back this pick now with everything that's come out in the last 24 hours. The fanbase would full on revolt.
Even though it's going to be a short night from my team's perspective, all this intrigue is going to make for a fabulously interesting first round. Plus I'll be interested in seeing who's left over for us at 33 tomorrow night.

A mock with a combination pf "Wow that'd be fun" and "yawn, boring"
1. Cincinnati - QB Joe Burrow. 2. Washington - DEF Chase Young 3. Jacksonville (via Lions) -> QB Tua Tagovailoa -> Jaguars trade #9, #20 and …. Leonard Fournette, yup. to move up. I had them moving up for Herbert earlier but here go all-in on Tua 4. NY Giants – OL Jedrick Wills Jr. -> I want to project a trade but Gettleman is boring and will stay here and make a boring pick. 5. Miami – OL Tristan Wirfs -> With Tua off the board, yup, they bypass Herbert and just fill their desire for an elite OL propsect. 6. LA Chargers – QB Justin Herbert. He kind of just falls in their lap. 7. Carolina – DEF Isaiah Simmons -> I had them trading down but Panthers opt to stand put and beef up their defense with this swiss army knife. They want an impact player. 8. Arizona – CB Jeff Okudah -> They could trade down for a team coveting Okudah. OR they can just draft him and have a crazy good secondary. 9. Detroit (via Jaguars) - OL Mekhi Becton -> The Lions have clear needs at OL, CB, RB. They can address OL and CB with #9 and #20 and got Fournette to fill that RB need. 10. Atlanta (via Browns) – DEF Derrick Brown -> Falcons are stunned to see Brown still available and swoop in trading #16 and #47. 11. Tampa Bay (via Jets) – OT Andrew Thomas -> Bucs trade #14 and #76. With three OL players off the board, the Bucs feel forced to move up for Thomas. 12. Las Vegas – WR Ceedee Lamb. Nothing crazy here. Just get your guy. 13. Miami (via Niners) – QB Jordan Love -> Dolphins stun everyone and trade #18, #39, #70 for #13, #156 and #217 to nab their backup plan at QB, which was Love and not Herbert. Niners wanted to trade down and this a nice haul to slide down 5 spots. 14. NY Jets (via Bucs) – WR Jerry Jeudy. Slide 3 spots, get a 3rd rd pick, still get their guy. 15. Denver – WR Henry Ruggs. Get their guy without having to trade up. 16. Ravens (via Browns) – DEF Javon Kinlaw -> Ravens trade #28 and #55 for #16 to nab a big-time defensive prospect. 17. Dallas – CB CJ Henderson. One of several they've been linked to, including Chaisson and Terrell. 18. San Francisco (via Dolphins) - DEF Patrick Queen. They hit big on another LB named Patrick before. 19. Las Vegas – CB AJ Terrell. Again, nothing fancy here. Just stockpile talent. 20. Detroit (via Jaguars) - CB Jaylon Johnson 21. Philadelphia – DEF K’Lavon Chaisson. The Eagles stunningly pass on Jefferson for a big time defensive prospect. 22. Minnesota – WR Justin Jefferson. If anything they should be thrilled he is available. 23. New England - DEF AJ Apenesa. Boring but easy pick. 24. New Orleans – WR Jalen Reagor. That's the rumor. 25. Minnesota – CB Kristian Fulton. Their top need was WR. Their other was CB. 26. Dolphins – RB DeAndre Swift. Probably not the best value but it’s a need and they need some excitement to sell their fans in light of not getting Tua/Herbert. 27. Detroit (via trade with Seahawks) – QB Jacob Eason -> Lions pull off a second and equally surprising move in the draft and trade #35 and #67 to nab their QB of the future. Seahawks trading down for more picks is about as much a lock as Burrow going #1. 28. Cleveland (via Ravens) – OT Ezra Cleveland. Trade down twice, pick up assets, still get the guy they were said to be targeting 29. Tennessee – OL Austin Jackson 30. Green Bay – WR Brandon Aiyuk. Word is they want to move up but may as well stay here and address this need. 31. NY Giants (via Niners) – DEF Kenneth Murray -> Giants trade #36 and #110 for #31 and #176 to move back in to get a defensive playmaker. Niners trade down again, as was their plan, and improve their draft pick stock considerably considering they didn't have a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round pick. 32. Dallas (via Chiefs) – OL Cesar Ruiz -> Dallas trades #51, #82 and 2021 2nd rd pick. The Chiefs could have gone RB Swift/Taylor or CB Gladney/Diggs but instead they trade down to a Dallas team that was seeking some OL help. The Chiefs with #51, #63, #82, #96 in the top 100 can still address needs, such as a RB with perhaps JK Dobbins, Edwards-Helaire, Moss or Akers.

I hope Burrows turns out a winner. I don't even care about the Bengals and already tired of the hate, jokes, criticism that his career is over before it starts. Hopefully Green comes back healthy and motivated and they can put some W's on the board.
Already wondering how the NBA draft will go

Had him going to Tampa Bay as the 4th OL off the board. Most NFL ready, which made him perfect for a win-now team. Had the lowest floor though, so figured the rebuilding teams like the Giants, Cardinals, Jets etc. would opt for the higher upside OL.

Arizona with a plethora of choices with Simmons, OL Wills/Wirfs/Becton or if Kyler has his way a WR in Lamb.

Ohhhh Jets go OL over WR Finally got something right with Becton to Jets at #11. Had this in 3 of the 5 mocks I did.
Actually I'm looking at the first mock I did on April 2 in the other thread.....
1. Cincinnati - QB Joe Burrow. No brainer. 2. Washington - DEF Chase Young. No brainer. 3. Miami (via trade w/ Lions) - QB Tua Tagovailoa. They are now downplaying their interest in Tua. Which just means he is their guy. They could probably move from 5 to 3 without giving up 26. It might just take 5, 39, 70 to entice Detroit, who knows they'll still get their guy at 5 anyways. 4. New York Giants - OL Tristan Wirfs. I could see defense here as well w/ Simmons but they need to protect their young QB 5. Detroit (via trade with Dolphins) - CB Jeff Okudah. No brainer. The pick and the trade. 6. L.A. Chargers - QB Justin Herbert. I'm sure they'll be tempted by other prospects but they need a long term QB. 7. Carolina - DEF Derrick Brown. Need to start replacing those fresh holes on defense. 8. Arizona - DEF Isaiah Simmons. They could go OL but they can't resist Simmons sliding to them. 9. Jacksonville - CB CJ Henderson. He's rising up the board and JAX has been losing elite secondary talent. 10. Cleveland - OL Jedrick Wills. No brainer. Need to protect Baker. 11. New York Jets - OL Mekhi Becton. Some speculate WR but now some are speculating OL. I say go OL. Not as exciting but they can get a nice WR at 48.
Outside of the Giants pick, I actually got the rest right in terms of team + player. Guess as I tried to get fancy with later mocks, I got more and more wrong
So Raiders have their pick of all 3 WRs. Let's see what they do

I would have preferred Lamb but Ruggs shouldn't surprise anyone and is still a nice pick. Ruggs gives them a much needed vertical threat and Carr is an underrated deep passer. Somewhere Al Davis is smiling. Tyrell/Ruggs on the sides and Waller/Renfrow down the middle.
To the folks saying this is another Darrius Heyward-Bey. Stop it.

Raiders do go WR/CB at 12 and 19. Naturally they choose the "fast guy" at 12 rather than the two more skilled guys. Naturally they reach at 19. Arnette was the 10th ranked CB per CBS and considered a mid-2nd rounder at most in mocks. I would have preferred several other CBs over him or even one of the top LBs on the board.
