What did/are you end up doing with no Cam/Ben
One owner has Ryan + Dak. Another has Baker + Murray. A couple others have two good QBs but I'm going to try and make them offers. Hopefully they see it tonight. If no response, I'll cancel the offers and hit up the waiver wire.
Trubisky. Stafford. Carr. Dalton. Brissett. They are on the waiver wire. HECK no to Trubisky but the others I'll look at.

I'd probably go Stafford..since by seasons ends he always ends up there with the yardage and TD's. Dalton is hot right now because no running game so he's slinging it. Brissett you just never know. I've always thought Carr was overrated. yea, that's tough, sucks
I'm riding Jameis...eeek

thinking about picking up Josh Allen (since I own Jameis)
Would you drop Brees?
Then there's Drake, Cohen, Duke(sucks), or Barber(might let him stick around)..who I could drop too

Don't have an IR slot for Brees?
If not, heck, just drop Jameis for Allen and don't carry 2 QBs.

naa, no IR..although I may bring that up next year's get together. I was hoping they'd put Brees on IR to give me a reason to go with Allen and Jameis. Jameis sucks right now but he ends up getting the stats when its over with. Allen is getting it done running which is big. I may cut 1 of my crappy RB's

Someone in one of my leagues dropped Vance McDonald for Jason Witten
I mean, yeah, Witten has a TD in both games.... but at the same time he has 7 catches for 40 yards. I mean, yeah, McDonald just lost Big Ben.... but the guy got 7 receptions for 38 yards and 2 TDs. In Week 2. With Rudolph playing a lot of that game.
I don't need a TE at all but man, might put in a claim just for the heckuvit.

Ugh. Probably going to have to bench Josh Jacobs.
Injured. Sick. Lost 10 pounds. Add in a bad matchup and not good.
RBs falling left and right.

Outside of the 2 leagues where I have Saquon, this is my collection of RBs across my 4 leagues:
Conner - Injured. If he plays, not 100% White - Pats are playing the lousy Jets so won't need to pass much. Another Sony Michel game Breida - Solid but stuck in a committee with Mostert/Wilson Lindsay - Stuck in a timeshare with Freeman and not a good matchup Josh Jacobs - Injured and sick and bad matchup Singletary - Injured. Likely out. Sanders - Stuck in a timeshare with Howard and Sproles and not a good matchup Justice Hill - Bench stash. Might be usable as a 3rd down back in a Chiefs shoot out but risky Darwin Thompson - Bench stash. Might be usable if Damien is out but significantly low floor Wilkins - Picked up in my deep money league with news about Mack being hurt. Who knows.
So 6 of my 8 RB slots are going to someone from this group. Rough times.

IN a fit of desperation in my main league where I am 0-2 and my RBs are banged up Conner, banged up Jacobs w/ terrible matchup, Lindsay who is a "sit" based on all experts and in a RBBC and two "stashes" in Hill/Thompson, I traded Terry McLaurin for Frank Gore. I am fine at WR with Juju, Fitz, Kirk, ARob, Samuel so I can take the hit but I really liked McLaurin and sucks to trade him for essentially a one week filler in Gore. That said, going 0-3 is pretty much a killshot at my playoff chances in this league so I made the deal to slot Gore in as my RB2 over Jacobs and get the higher floor play.

Welp, heading into today I was #1 in my other league. Highest scoring team (and most points against, so I crushed some dreams along the way). Ran into the buzzsaw with my opponent today.
He's gonna put up 150+ in .5 ppr. He has Theilen, Ingram, Olsen and Lindsay combining for 9 TDs and the Pats D.
Shit happens, I guess. But man it sucks to live through.

The joy of playing against Cooper Kupp in 3 leagues last night.
Got my butt handed to me in Scout and my main league. My team suckeddddd in Scout. Kamara alone outscored my QB, my RB1, TE, flex, K and my DEF.
I should win in my big $ league up 13.5 but my opponent still has an outside shot with an IDP player, so won't count that just yet. I'll win in my 4th league. So I could be looking at 2-1, 1-2, 1-2 and.... ugh.... 0-3 in my main league. Rough start. The Saquon injury hurts bad as I have him in 2 leagues, including my big $ league.
If I could stay afloat in my main league despite my first 3 picks being Saquon, Antonio Brown and Zach Ertz (see below for my thoughts on him), it'd be a miracle
I made a desperation trade in my main league last night:
I traded: Lindsay, Samuel, Ertz I received: Mack, Boyd, Witten
I'm selling high on Lindsay. He lucked out this past game with Freeman in and out with a shoulder injury, which let Lindsay get the GL touches and 2 TDs, but he still split carries and I see more weeks like week 1 and 2 where he only got 10.6 points each going forward. Freeman has looked solid enough to continue forcing a committee. Mack is the lead dog in Indy, no question. So I just wanted the volume guy. Tired of this committee stuff. I'm selling Samuel. Cam is going to be back soon and I just don't want Samuel with noodle-arm Cam. Boyd has 31 targets through 3 games and he'll still be effective when Green comes back, even with the rise of Ross. The Bengals are going to throw a lot and Boyd is a solid PPR guy. Mack + Boyd > Lindsay + Samuel
Obviously the hit is going from Ertz to Witten. BUT look, it's mainly in name. Witten has 31.4 ppr points through 3 games. Ertz has 38. Yeah Witten has been boosted by 2 TDs and isn't getting many targets but for TEs I want a red zone threat. Ertz has been dealing with just too many mouths to feed in that offense. Even with DJax/Alshon out, Ertz only saw 7 targets as the team went heavy to Agholor and worked in Hollins. On a healthy Eagles team with an improved running game (See Sanders/Sproles), I just don't see much upside for Ertz. That said, my plan really is to just ride Witten weeks 4 and 5 and get Herndon because once he comes back from suspension week 6, I see a high floor PPR guy and weekly starter. Of course I could be 0-5 at that point and it won't matter.

White in PPR. Don't trust Gallman. Could be one of those weird games where Daniel Jones throws a ton and also ends up leading the team in rushing.

Scared to celebrate my first win in Scout's league. It's only by .12 and one stat correction will change that LOL. I told you one stat correction and my win may be jeopardy. They took a yard away from Joe Mixon subtracting .10. So instead of winning by .12, I won by .02 over Das Boot. That's the closest I've ever seen a FF win.

I've had a 0.2 loss as well a few years back. Jameis Winston on MNF took a knee to center the game winning FG, losing two yards in the process. It was a tie game at that point, all the way down to the decimal.
I still hate Jameis for that.

To me, nothing can ever top my experience of winning the championship on Monday only to lose it Wednesday because there was a stat correction that awarded extra points to an IDP for a blocked field goal attempt.
That made me want to quit fantasy sports altogether.

Cool. In my main league where I am 0-3, my opponent had Rodgers. Already a massive hole.
Daniel Jones or Matthew Stafford?

Post by doakley8 on Sept 27, 2019 12:34:27 GMT -5
Stafford, Lions play Chiefs..and likely from behind, so he could have 350 yards and 2 TD's and empty stats if he has to throw 50 times to keep up. He may also have 1-2 picks..but I still think he'll get 20-22 fantasy points.

I hate fantasy football
Traded for Mack/Boyd in my main league, they subsequently get me 10.2 points total. Their worst games of the season by far. Now 0-4. It's almost a lost cause but going to try and claw my way back.
2-2 in my other 3 leagues but injuries are killing me. Now we have Kirk, Tyrell Williams banged up. Also with Damien Williams and Hill back healthy, makes Darrell Williams and D. Robinson useless.
As for White/Jacobs, I'm actually starting Jacobs over White in our league. I'm starting Jacobs AND White in two other leagues. I invested a lot in these two and I'm not thrilled about it thus far.
