I passed on Cohen on all my drafts.
Anyone who had Cohen last year has to be scarred by how erratic he was. Yeah he had some monster games - a 4 game stretch from weeks 4 to 7 where he got 30.4, 23.1 and 22.3 and 18. Also had a 34.6 point game versus the Giants in Week 13. He also had 8 games under 13, 6 games under 10 and and 3 games under 4. Solid albeit inconsistent. BUT now you add in the talk of cutting his workload, the hype around David Montgomery (who unlike Jordan Howard can catch passes and thus eat into Cohen's role), the presence of Mike Davis (who is also a receiving threat), Cordarelle Patterson potentially being a gadget player stealing carries/targets and also an improved passing game with a better Trubisky surrounded by Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, Taylor Gabriel, Trey Burton and I just don't see enough volume for Cohen to be a reliable fantasy player, for someone who wasn't overly reliable last season.

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones believes running back Ezekiel Elliott could miss multiple regular season games. No deal appears imminent at this time, according to sources. I could see this. Cowboys have a relatively easy start for the season so if struggle out the game, more leverage for Zeke. And you don't really lose much if you are Zeke besides game checks, which one would believe, he'll make up for later in the season when he eventually signs a new deal. So unless you are hurting for money, I'd hold out the longest I could. Giants, Skins and Fins to start the season and then play the Saints. They go 2-1 or even worse 1-2 and they'll be calling for Zeke to come back before that Saints game.

I have no shares of Pollard, which sucks. But at the same time I have no shares of Zeke, so it evens out.
I opted to spend low draft capital on the lower ceiling / lower risk of Justin Jackson because I viewed an extended Gordon holdout as more likely than Zeke in terms of missing regular season games. I legitimately thought Zeke would be there Game 1. Oops.

Just saw the Jets released Elijah McGuire
Which isn't big news. Just relevant to me because the guy came up big for me in the fantasy playoffs in a couple leagues as a desperation flex play.
Week 14: 60 rushing yards 1 td, 3 receptions for 23 yards = 17.3 ppr points Week 15: 42 rushing yards 1 td, 3 receptions for 29 yards 1 lost fumble = 14.1 ppr points Week 16: 35 rushing yards 1 td, 3 receptions for 50 yards 1 td = 23.5 ppr points
Granted his YPC was awful at 2.8 and he did little prior to this point, between being injured weeks 1 to 9 and then only getting 165 total yards 0 tds from weeks 10 to 13 despite 33 touches (25 carries, 8 receptions). So yeah, as a player he sucked. Just goes to show being good at football isn't required to be fantasy football good. Just ask Tim Tebow.

Speaking of the Texans, didn't know until today they had RB Taiwan Jones on their roster. Him being a Raider from 2011 to 2016 - primarily on special teams.
But I think they end up with one of Hyde, Ajayi, Doug Martin

Crazy to think the guy was 1272 rushing yards 8 rushing tds 27 receptions 151 receiving yards in 15 games in 2016
Jordan Howard is basically the new Ajayi - in both being an Eagle and destined to fall off.

Chiefs signing Shady McCoy to a 1 year deal with 3M guaranteed to rejoin Andy Reid certainly is a hit to Damien/Darwin owners.
Via RWr: "Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star expects LeSean McCoy "to take a large percentage" of the team's backfield reps. "

Well Oak has yet to respond to my trade proposal, so I cancelled it.
Essentially I am offering up Devin Singletary + Tyrell Williams for an elite K + WR upgrade. Never ever have I traded for a K but I have too many RBs.
So if anyone out there with Butker, Gostkowski, Zuerlein etc. wants a starting RB - which Singletary is - hit me up. You can claim a relatively decent K off the waiver wire.

It's been 4 days since we drafted and my team is already burning to the ground, lol. Shady to KC ruins my Williams/Thompson stack, Chargers GM walks away from the Gordon negotiations, Zeke will probably sign before week 1 killing any short term value I was gonna get from Pollard.
Now I just need a CMC practice injury or Keenan Allen to be kidnapped by the Sinaloa Cartel to really put the cherry on top. God I hate/love FF!

You have Hines, Barber and Penny eating up roster spots and you aren't interested in Singletary?
Ok. To each their own.

In fairness I was thinking the same about your K thing. I just grabbed Matt Bryant off the wire for free. History of being a good kicker and ATL has 13/16 games indoors this year.

With Julio, Juju, Diggs, I'm good at WR anyways.
Dropped Tate and his 4 game suspension for Badgley to fill the K spot.
Worse comes to worse I'll just hang on to all my RBs. I have a fair amount of question marks, so best to keep as many dart throws as I can. And if I hit, great. Either I have strong depth or I have strong trade bait.

I'll just roll with my starters
I do have Jordan Reed..who they say has his 7th reported concussion...man I hope life after football treats him ok.

Was really hoping Zeke wouldn't get a deal done first couple weeks..since I play him Week 1
and senseless move by Rams to pay Goff a ridiculous amount of money.

I'm 100% glad Zeke got a deal done. Whew. Amazingly my week 1 opponent had Pollard in 3 of my 4 leagues.
I don't have any shares of Zeke, Pollard, Hyde, Duke, Shady, Damien, Darwin Thompson - so I've managed to avoid all that uncertainty on some level.
Usually you overpay a QB after he wins the Super Bowl. See Russell Wilson. Certainly see Joe Flacco. But Goff not only lost the Super Bowl but was abhorrent in the game. That said, 60 tds 19 ints 8492 passing yards and 0 games missed to injury last 2 seasons - both playoff appearances with 1 trip to the aforementioned Super Bowl. Personally I credit Mcvay but QBs get paid and it's not long before Goff gets one-uped. I mean, people are just counting down to when Mahomes gets paid an astronomical figure that leave Goff, Wentz in the dust.

I think the Goff deal is directly tied to Mahomes. You want to get him at any deal you can before Mahomes shatters the market and then your young QB and their agent point to that deal as the starting point.
And I would also lay a lot of blame for the SB at McVay's feet (as McVay did too). McVay's whole "we do what we do and YOU adjust to US" got blown up by Belichick and McVay couldn't counter-punch. Goff wasn't great and maybe showed his age/experience, but he wasn't put in any position to turn that game around. I'm still a Goff believer.

Don't get me wrong, I think Goff is solid. Glad the Rams have him. Just saying historically it's the winning QB of a Super Bowl that gets lavished with a contract like this. In actuality Goff was fairly pedestrian the entire postseason. 3 games - 1 td 2 ints 712 passing yards 55.7 comp %. They beat the Cowboys because of CJ Anderson/Gurley and the defense. Goff was good against the Saints but a lot of the credit goes to the defense.... and the refs for that abhorrent call.
Goff and the Rams are going to learn, just like the Seahawks, that once you pay your QB it's going to be a lot harder to maintain that defense. The Rams are ponying up a ton of $ for their offensive skill players. The days of their offseason funny money are coming to a close very soon.
In the end, the Rams have a legitimate franchise QB and they get paid. Rams need to stay good, at least on paper, to keep selling those tickets when they move into that new arena in 2020. I have a friend who is working on the project. Holy heck, it's like a mini-city. Important the Rams and Chargers are good because as an LA resident, I know that if they aren't good then good luck getting fans to pay those prices and deal with that traffic/parking to come out to games.

Definitely glad I had 0 shares of that game last night. Really looked like the only above projection score was Allen Robinson and the GB DST. Very reminiscent of the Philly/ATL snoozer that screwed over everyone to start last year.

I had one share and it's Allen Robinson in my main league.
He looks awesome and got a lot of targets, so he should be a productive player going forward provided he stays healthy..... BUT man, Trubisky sucks. He sticks to one read far too often and is far too quick to go for the lame dump off to Tarik Cohen, who should be a WR in fantasy and not a RB.
I might try and sell ARob after this week because I don't know if I want to tie myself to this passing offense and buy low on a "superior player" who may have had a crappy week 1. I'm not saying I'll offer ARob for Davante Adams but something to that effect.

Had 2 shares of AB. Including my big $ 14-teamer that starts 3 WRs.
I suppose I "lucked out" in the 14-teamer because I also drafted Tyrell Williams and managed to pick up Hunter Renfrow a couple days ago before he suddenly became a hot pickup (added 31,774 leagues today). For whatever that is worth. In the other league, which is a 12 teamer that also starts 3 WRs, ironically Darren Waller was my TE before all of this nonsense. I waited on TE and ended up with Burton, who isn't healthy, so dropped him for Waller.
I have 3 shares of Jacobs. 2 shares of Tyrell and Waller. 1 share of Renfrow. I mean, I am a Raiders fan but that's a whole lot of commitment to an offense I'm not overly excited about, namely due to the QB. I'm just banking Jacobs can be a 3 down back who breaks big plays (Saquon was able to do well with a crappy QB) and perhaps Waller has a rookie season akin to Even Engram. Volume is the key here. With no AB, volume is available to these guys.
Wish I could stash AB on the IR list. Too bad the only injury is to his wallet.
In other news, I am for sure benching Diggs. Gotta decided between Marvin Jones Jr. or... Tyrell.

I am going with Marvin Jones. Hearing a lot of good things about him in this matchup
I am starting Tyrell in my big $ league though. Having spent my top 3 picks on Saquon/Ertz/AB, I am reduced to starting Shepard, Kirk, Ridley at the 3 WR spots and Tyrell in my flex (over Breida). It sounds very unexciting but hoping I can get 4 "good" games out of each and win thanks to the accumulation.
I'm starting James White and Josh Jacobs in 3 leagues each. We'll see. A lot of uncertainty here. I mean, if I can't start White now with AB out, who knows going forward. Hoping he has a monster game 1 and I can sell high on him.
