It's been brought to my attention that not every team is still playing football games this time of year. So here's a thread for all you losers to talk about all of the avenues in which your teams can get as good as my team

The Bengals basically did everything the Raiders didn't do.
Bengals hit big time on their QB drafted #1 overall.
Raiders drafted JaMarcus Russell. That did not hit. Been riding the limited ceiling of 2nd round pick Carr since 2014 and he would need Steve Urkel's Transformation Chamber to become Joe Burrow (or at least Derelicte Carrrrr, the cooler version of Derek)
Bengals drafted a WR top 10 and they hit the lotto with Chase as he's crazy fast and awesome.
Raiders drafted a WR top 10 in Ruggs and he too was crazy fast. Unfortunately so was his driving and currently not awesome.
Bengals have a stud RB in Mixon
Raiders think they have a stud RB in Jacobs. Jury is very much out on that one.
Bengals hired a hot shot coach under 40, which seems to be the secret sauce these days. It's worked out.
Raiders did that back in 1998 with Gruden. Worked out. Tried again in 2007 and 2012 with Lane Kiffin/Dennis Allen. That did not. So back to Gruden maybe? Yikes. Not overly excited about McDaniels.
Bengals tried to shore up their defense and made several key moves. Result: Top 10 defense in points allowed. Raiders tried to shore up their defense, including heavy draft capital and other FA pickups. Result: Bottom 10 defense in points allowed
Bengals OL is shaky but Burrow, despite leading the league in being sacked, is agile enough to avoid the rush and make plays and they'll assuredly address that this offseason. Raiders OL was awesome but the team decided to make it shaky and Carr got sacked 40 times and his QBR plummeted and the team will probably try to address it by reaching 2 rounds early in the draft like they did with Leatherwood.
Bengals in Super Bowl Raiders somehow lucked into the playoffs despite being -65 in scoring for the season.

Via NBC: "MMQB's Albert Breer reports Washington is "preparing to take a big swing at a quarterback" this offseason. "
Doubt Rodgers/Wilson goes there and can't imagine Carr/Jimmy G classify as a big swing, so really only Watson fits the bill and if he truly becomes available, figure the competition will be stiff.
Either way, with McLaurin, Gibson, Logan Thomas, a good OL and a strong defense, this team obviously has the biggest hole at QB. That said, I doubt they land an elite QB. They really might be better off just aiming lower and trading for Minshew or signing Winston/Mariota, in other words dudes who are mobile and will actually throw and are reasonably better than the Taylor Heinicke's of the world. Then using their cap space/draft capital to re-sign Scherff, add another WR and just build up that defense.

McShay dropped a mock draft
Had QB Pickett #11 to WAS, #17 via trade QB Willis to PIT, #18 QB Corral to NO and #32 QB Howell to DET
Had Raiders going WR with Chris Olave at #22. Went 65-936-13 for OSU. Guy was definitely a TD machine. Last 3 years he has 32 TDs in 31 games. Not overly big or athletic but a good enough athlete who plays fast, good body control and hands and is a great route runner with the ability to find open spaces and break vertical plays. One of the fantasy sites I go to hyped up him as having the best hands in the draft class had he entered in 2021 - with comparisons to Jeudy and Will Fuller. Hopefully, as far as OSU Alums go, he is more Terry McLaurin/Michael Thomas and less Tedd Ginn/Curtis Samuel. Heck, I'd settle for Santonio Holmes.

ohh..I honestly don't even watch the Panthers..they are on local here obviously but I don't really have a favorite NFL actually..just usually pull for whoever I draft in fantasy. I liked the Cowboys when they had Romo..but I just kinda pull for players. But anybody is better than Donald at QB

Yup. Pickett is considered NFL ready (which Rhule wants since his job is on the line, versus a longer term prospect like Willis), Pickett committed to Temple when Rhule was coach but then Rhule left to Baylor and Pickett pivoted to Pitt and then the Panthers owner is a Pitt alumni/donor. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

AJ Brown and Hollywood Brown being traded on draft night was definitely not on my bingo card.
AJ Brown got paid and is friends with Jalen Hurts. Hollywood Brown asked out and is friends with Kyler Murray, who has been upset with the franchise. I wonder who Deebo and DK are friends with....
Crazy but the usually moribund Jets and Giants won the night.
Jets got Gardner, Wilson and then moved back in for extremely amazing value on the sliding Johnson Giants had 5 and 7 so odds are they shouldn't have messed it up but it's the Giants, can't rule anything out. Kayvon and Neal were just solid picks for the trenches.
Detroit Lions going up for Jameson Williams was a big surprise. Usually 32 to 12 is a QB move but they may have gotten the best WR in the draft and a top 5 value had he been healthy. Williams + Chark + Amon St. Brown + Hockenson is a really intriguing receiving core. Too bad it's Goff throwing to them. For now...... keep an eye out on the 2nd round at pick #46.
For all the talk of Wilson, Williams, Olave, London - I think the best fantasy value will be Treylon Burks, who is essentially an AJ Brown clone and will now be the AJ Brown replacement.
Packers getting a ton of heat for not drafting a WR (and for reaching on two defensive players) but honestly once the top 6 were off the board, there was no one really worth it at 22 or 28. Sure they could have moved up but easy to say in hindsight. They still have some options in the 2nd round. My guess, they move up for George Pickens.
Chiefs didn't get a WR either but McDuffie and Karlaftis are solid defensive picks. Unlike what Green Bay did. Plus I don't think their need at WR is as big as Green Bay. They can nab a Christian Watson, Alec Pierce, John Metchie in the 2nd.
I expect QBs to fly off the board today. Willis. Corral. Ridder. Howell. Question is where and to whom. At picks 40 or 41, you have to figure Ridder goes to Seattle.

Think both NY teams did a good job. As well I was impressed with the Lions.
Ravens were the team I didn't think did enough in the draft. You move Hollywood, which is understandable especially since he wanted out, but I thought you could've gotten more than 1 first rounder. That team is going to run Lamar into the ground.

The Ravens traded Hollywood Brown then went D, OL, D, D, OL, D, TE, Punter, TE, D, RB with their draft picks
If there was ever a team that basically committed to it's roots of being run + defense, it's the Ravens right now.
That said, they HAVE to now pursue veteran WRs. Can't imagine, even for a team built that way, they can go into next season with Bateman, Duvernay and little else.
So Julio, Landry, Fuller, Crowder, Beasley, E. Sanders could be options.

Thank god somebody said it! Tired of hearing how the Ravens "absolutely killed it" because they drafted based off of Mel Kiper's Best Available list.

Not really NFL draft news but not sure if you guys were following the story of Pitt WR Jordan Addison.
So apparently Jordan Addison is "considering" leaving Pitt and entering the transfer portal. But where the story gets crazy is he is rumored to have a NIL deal in place worth over 3 million dollars and a house in So Cal donated by USC boosters. To give context, he'll make more than a WR taken in the 2nd round of this year's draft. But where this is a big problem is the fact that technically USC couldn't recruit him since he hasn't entered the transfer portal yet. This might be a huge problem for the NCAA. We already knew it was happening behind the scenes but not this blatant tampering.
NCAA is going to need to revamp the NIL and transfer portal soon. I'm all for players getting money but this going to end up a nightmare if they don't fix it soon. Way too many players are transferring after 1 season and now you can basically just pluck good players off schools with a money offer.

I saw where college basketball player was going into transfer pool if his NIL deals didn't improve or something. Had nothing to do with his game..moreso his "brand" so he can transfer somewhere else to improve that. cluster#$$#

He has since backed down a little bit. I imagine someone got to him and told him to STFU. Not to mention he's entering the draft anyway. The No.1 transfer in the portal got a NIL deal and will play with Miami. His deal is 800k over 2 years and a new car. My guess is Wong saw that and wanted to ante up.

I'm all for college players getting compensated but this is absolutely shaping up to be a mess in its current iteration.
