Here is an interesting debate that came up during our birthday luncheon at my work today:
If each was healthy and in their prime (N/A to Kuz), which lineup wins in a head to head matchup:
Rondo-Green-Lebron-AD- Dwight
vs
DFish-Kobe-Metta-Odom-Pau
And then it spun off to add....
vs
R. Harper-Kobe-Rice-Horry-Shaq
A lineup with Lebron, AD, Dwight, Rondo, Green would be out of this world on defense but I said, honestly, if each was at their peak that 2000 Lakers lineup would smoke everyone. People forget how good Harper/Rice were before they came to LA. And there is a reason Horry won 7 titles with 3 different teams as a key contributor.

I would agree that the 2000 Lakers win. I think this year's team might give them a game though.
The real gamble between those two is, of course, stopping Shaq. And while you do have 12 fouls between Javale and Dwight to play with, I think the most prudent thing to do would be go small (Rondo, Bradley, Green, James, AD). AD will clearly get demolished by Shaq down low, but if you can offset that by forcing him into high ball screens with AD pick and popping and opening the lane for drives and rebounds, you might just be able to tilt that in your favor.
You put LBJ on young Frobe and just tell him, "It's 48 minutes, I need vintage LeBron defense for 48 minutes." And hope that's enough.

Actually, on second thought. I keep the same 2019 lineup, but I put Bradley on Harper and instruct him to play 94 feet to throw some sand in the timepiece of the Triangle offense. I have Danny on Kobe, Rondo on Rice, LBJ on Horry/being my rover on defense and AD on Shaq. I do my best to force them to reverse the ball to the weak side to eliminate the Kobe part of the Triangle.
Offensively I isolate Shaq on high ball screens until he's on the bench for rest. LBJ/AD screens and drive and kicks to Green, Bradley and Rondo (that hurt to type). I try to out shoot them.

If everyone is in their prime, 2019. LeBron-AD-Dwight with a prime Rondo passing the ball is tough to stop.

Biased...but I'd take prime Kobe/Shaq
