As much as I love movies, I've really never got into Bond flicks and for Daniel Craig I only watched the first one he did and even then all I remember is the poker scenes were wildly unrealistic.

I'm more than willing to suspend realism when it comes to people defying gravity, bad guys never being able to shoot properly, people surviving car crashes and a myriad of other things that you generally expect from any action flick..... but c'mon, the odds of those particular hands happening at a poker table in that short of a span to the same players is like .0000000000000000000000000000000000000001%
I'd sooner believe in a guy in a cape being able to bend steel or whatever the hell inception was.

I mostly just wanted to assemble a team of young up and comers to enjoy the season. Could have certainly drafted a lot of older, more proven vets to try and win this season but I didn't think my keepers were good enough to pull that off, so didn't really have a win now mindset.
Outside of Reggie Jackson/CJ McCollum everyone I drafted was either a rookie or 2nd year (except KPJ, entering his 3rd year). Just banking on 2 of these guys exploding on to the scene and being potential keeper options. Haliburton is an obvious contender but not sleeping on KPJ/Suggs.

I'm just waiting for his boy PJ to hit the wire.
Draymond is the main player I missed out on, him an Nurkic are the 2 players I wanted on my team

You almost had Nurk. Was taking a hard look at Derrick White and even down the board at Buddy at that pick.
But hopefully he's healthy, happy and Billups will play him more than the 20 minutes Stotts allowed last year. Ready to cash some of those 20/20 games with him!

I really like my Keeper team. I need a SG..was going to take Beasley with my last pick in the draft but he went a couple spots before me. I've put in a claim for a couple.
Going to be hoping the Bulls put up 120 points a night

Dipo is gonna end up beside Boogie somewhere talking about all the money they lost
I was going to take Wall with the last pick as well..but I didn't think he'd be eligible for IR..but looks like he is. But I got Klay there for a while.
Hopefully Westbrook just concentrates on rebounds/assists and doesn't go 3-14 from the field and 3-8 from the line

Only thing about new league is..with that many roster spots..and IR..the waiver wire is weak Therefor ..you should draft better

yes, yes I hear thats usually a good plan
or I'll just bank on an overloaded from Obie and get right back in the thick of things
I think my keeper league might be beast mode. Still want me some Draymond & Nurkic

The 14 team draft I did has Cole Anthony and Cam Reddish as the only players who are above 9% rostered
So between that league and our new league, I don't foresee many moves being made.
Whereas our keeper league, hell, you could build a fairly competitive roster from the waiver wire guys.

Yea, I've put in a claim for 5 players in keeper league since I got 2 on IR..i couldn't find 5 players worth adding in new league. Perhaps more trades then

Still want me some Draymond & Nurkic I wish I still took Mobley over Draymond. Last year no one took rookies early. This year the top 4 went in the first 30 picks. Misjudged that. But idc I've definitely grown on Giddey for sure. He is a TikTok guy which does annoy me lol. Just go get some triple doubles bro.

I know all the hype has been with Cade and rightfully so. Also I've made no secret I'm a big fan of Mobley - including when I was saying before the draft I felt Houston should give consideration to drafting him #2.
That said, fantasy wise, I am big on Jalen Suggs. I didn't want to tip my hat on how high I was on him in our new league and just let Vars nab him in the 8th. He is NBA ready and should see a big role on the crappy Magic right away and put up a nice statline early on with upside for star production.

Don't sleep on my boy Scottie Barnes! ROY!
and he's available as an add on for and Draymond or Nurkic deals
Suggs too will put up the stats..if Cole Anthony doesn't ball hog it all season (likely)

He was one of the few rookies I had on my list because my hope is despite his poor shooting in the preseason, he can stat pad some other categories. With me being near the end of rounds, I grabbed him because I figured he wouldn't make it back around.

I actually drafted Barnes in my 14 teamer. Round 14, Pick #192. I figured at that point absolutely worth a flier. Also drafted Achiuwa in Round 15, so apparently I'm buying into that Raptors frontcourt while Siakam is out

I think they'll go small ball with VanVleet/Barnes/OC. I think Boucher is out too..so will be some good early stats until fully healthy

Pat Riley: on Bam Adebayo, “He’s gotten extraordinarily better than last year.” “I think you might see a flat-out scorer this year.”

Sweet since I have him in both my keeper leagues.
Hopefully that means he has expanded his range to the 3pt line. Not saying he needs to be Brook Lopez obviously or even John Collins/Myles Turner but if Mo Bamba can freakin' make 0.8 threes a game at a halfway decent clip, so can Bam with some work and confidence.

He's for sure a fantasy stud. But..I don't see him extending the range. Not with Lowry/Robinson/Herro shooting 3's and Butler on his elbow wing. Although I just looked and would have thought he shot more than 44 in his career..I can see him coming up from the eight (8) attempts from last year. But..not reaching the 20 range. He got his FT% up alot last year. If he can keep it at 80%..and get 3-4 more shot attempts a game..that's beastmode

No doubt better FT shooting and more volume will help Bam increase his scoring but with Riley saying he's gotten extraordinarily better towards being a flat out scorer, the logical implication is that he improved skill-wise and the most obvious hole in his game is his range. He should absolutely extend his range, regardless of who he plays alongside - esp. in a starting frontcourt with Butler and Tucker, where the former sucks as a 3pt shooter and the latter is just OK. In Denver, Jokic is constantly surrounded by 3pt shooters and doesn't prevent him from taking a bunch himself. Granted he's great at it, so it'd be crazy to not let him.
Bam has already been working on expanding his range anyhow. He went from 40% of his shots being jumpers in 2019-2020 to 55% last year. Makes all the sense for him to push the range so he can get three points rather than two when he knocks those down.
That being said, if I'm wrong and Riley is just basing his comments on Bam being vastly improved down low with his footwork and low post moves, I'll take that also. If he wants to average 24ppg and have that FG% stay around 57% because he's dominating with high percentage touches, that's cool too.
